EYE BROWS

Makeup artists will tell you, eyebrows can make or break your face.
Eyebrows serve as a natural frame for your eyes. They move with your
every expression to emphasize what you say and how you feel.

Begin by brushing brows with a brow brush. To measure your brows, hold a pencil vertically along the outer corner of your nose to the inner brow. If your brow line overlaps onto the bridge, remove the excess hair. If the brow falls short, pencil it
in. To find where your brow should taper or end, hold the pencil from the
outer corner of the nose across the corner of the eye to the outer brow. The brow should end at this point. Brows can be filled in to alter or
emphasize. Brow pencils or brow powders can be used.

Helpful tip :
Always use a brow color that is as natural looking as possible. The main
objective is to define not create over-powering brows. To fill in, comb first, then
use feather like strokes with your pencil to fill in. To create a more natural look,
comb again after applying the pencil.

make up 101

yestorday i went out shopping with my ma ma and picked up a Makeup Manual by Bobbi Brown cost me £20. i got home and started reading and i must say its very helpfull so i thought i will share a Extract from the book:

All women really want the same thing: to look like themselves, only prettier and more confident. It is possible to transform a face with just tweezers, shadow, a brow brush and brow gel — and to master the skill of make-up. Make-up is simple. When you know how to apply it and have an organised make-up drawer, it should take only 10 minutes. Practice is the key. A basic, simple look requires 10 steps — in the right order.

STEP 1 Corrector/concealer

First, neutralise darkness with a pink or peach-toned corrector. Apply with a brush to the deepest or darkest area to prepare for concealer. (Sometimes you can stop here if the coverage is enough.)

Next, choose yellow-based shades of concealer and layer them over the corrector underneath the eye. Using a concealer brush, apply underneath the eye up to the lash line and on the innermost corner. Blend by patting with your fingers.

Last, apply pale yellow or white powder with a brush or puff to set the concealer in place. Also apply powder to the eyelid to take away shine or darkness.

Under-eye concealer should be one or two shades lighter than your skin tone. If the concealer looks ashy, it is too light. If it looks very yellow, it is too dark.

Applying concealer on the spot next to the inner corner of the eye will open it up and give you a fresh, bright-eyed look.

STEP 2 Foundation

To find the perfect shade of foundation, test a few colours on the side of the face and forehead, and check the tone in natural light. The shade that disappears is the one that’s right for you.

Use a brush, sponge or fingers to apply foundation where the skin needs to be evened out — often around the nose and mouth. For all-over coverage, use a brush, sponge or fingers to apply and blend foundation to the outer edges of the face.

To cover blemishes, spot-apply foundation stick or blemish-cover stick in a shade that matches the skin tone exactly. Pat with your finger to blend. Repeat if necessary.

It's a good idea to have two shades of foundation — one for the winter months and a slightly darker one for the summer, when skin colour tends to be darker. You can blend the two for spring and autumn.

For a sheer, casual alternative to foundation, use tinted moisturiser to even out skin tone.

STEP 3 Powder

For crease-free, long wear, apply loose powder in a pale yellow tone (or white, if you are very fair) over concealer using an eye-blender brush or a mini powder puff.

Apply powder in the correct shade for your skin tone to the rest of the face using a powder puff or powder brush.

If skin feels dry, dust powder only around the nose and forehead.

STEP 4 Blush

Smile, and apply a natural shade of blush on the apples of the cheeks. Blend up towards the hairline, then downward to soften the colour.

For long-lasting results, layer a pop of brighter blush on top.

For an extra glow, dust a shimmer powder on the cheekbones with a face-blender brush, or use a creamy formula applied with your fingers.

Tap or blow off excess powder blush from your blush brush before applying. It is easier to build colour in a few light layers than to remove excess colour and start again.

Pot rouge or cream blush is a good option for dry skin.

To add a warm tint to skin, use a bronzer on areas where the sun normally hits the face — cheeks, forehead, nose and chin.

STEP 5 Lipstick

Start with clean, smooth lips.

Neutral lipstick shades and sheer formulas can be applied direct from the tube. Use a lip brush to apply darker or brighter colours, which require precise application.

Use the natural colour of your lips as a guide when choosing a lipstick shade. The most flattering shade will either match or be slightly darker than your lips.

STEP 6 Lip liner

To achieve natural-looking definition and to keep colour from feathering, line lips after applying lip colour. Use a lip brush to soften and blend any hard edges.

To make your lipstick or gloss last, line and fill in lips with lip liner before applying colour.

STEP 7 Brows

Define brows using shadow or pencil in the colour of your eyebrows and hair.

To apply shadow, begin at the inner corner of the brow and follow its natural shape using light, feathery strokes.

Set unruly brows in place with a brow shaper.

Fill in sparse areas or holes in the brow with an eye pencil. For the most natural look, layer powder shadow on top.

STEP 8 Eye shadow

Sweep a light eye-shadow colour from the lash line to the brow bone.

Dust a medium eye-shadow colour on the lower area of the lid, up to the crease.

Apply contour colour if needed to fleshy part of lid as a correction and to add depth to eye.

Face powder on bare lids helps to create a smoother-looking surface for make-up and keeps shadow from creasing.

STEP 9 Eyeliner

Line the upper lash line with a dark shadow colour. Apply damp or dry.

After lining the upper lash line, look straight ahead to see if there are any gaps that need to be filled. If you also line the lower lash line, make sure the top and bottom lines meet at the outer corner of the eye, and the lower line is softer.

STEP 10 Mascara

Choose your mascara formula based on your needs and desired effect. Thickening mascara gives individual lashes a denser look and is ideal if you have a sparse lash line. For lashes that are enhanced but still natural-looking, choose defining and lengthening mascaras.

When applying mascara, hold the mascara wand parallel to the floor and brush from the base of the lashes to the tips. Roll the wand as you go to separate the lashes and avoid clumps. Always apply two or three coats.

SMOKY EYES

A smoky eye is the most dramatic look for evening: it’s pretty and sexy. Remember to keep layering the colour, and continue to check until you like the look.

1 Start with white shadow over the entire lid.

2 Choose a medium, smoky colour for the lower area of the lid. Apply it three-quarters of the way up.

3 Continue to layer the colour to make it darker. Add a deeper colour on top and in the crease (see picture), to intensify the look.

4 Concentrate on the crease. Continue to layer the shadow deeply enough to create a dramatic effect.

5 Use your finger to soften the shadow.

6 Starting at the outside corner, apply eyeliner using pencil, dark shadow or liner.

7 Apply in smooth strokes to theinner corner of the eyelid.

8 Line underneath the eye, beginning at the outside corner, moving toward the inner corner.

9 Line as close to the lashes as possible.

10 Soften the line using a clean finger or Q-tip.

11 To give the pencil line staying power, use a liner brush to sweep a layer of shadow over the pencil.

12 Smudge the line to create a smoky look, somewhere between liner and shadow.

13 Reapply eye shadow to add definition. Continue layering and checking for the effect you desire.

Questions To Ask on a First Date

First dates can be scary. You’re never quite sure on how to prepare for it. What to wear, choosing the right time /place, what questions to ask and all that good stuff. There are a million tips on the internet that I suppose are helpful if you’re going on your first date. But what none of them say to the reader is to just be them self’s. I think that’s that most important thing is TO JUST BE YOUR SELF AND JUST LET THINGS FALL IN TO PLACE. I always made a mistake of rushing things and making my life seem so perfect. But it’s not no one’s life is perfect everyone has problems, issues etc it’s what life’s is all about. Anyways back to the questions to ask on the first date I always get side tracked lol.
Questions To Ask On a First Date

1. What is your favorite scene from your favorite book or movie?Talking about mass media and pop culture can clue you in to similar interests and world views. “Books, movies, and music all transmit powerful messages of hope or emotion. “If you have radically different preferences, there may be some fundamental differences between the way the two of you look at the world.” But asking your date to name his or her favorite scene can help you distill what’s important to him or her beyond just genre.
2. What do you love about your job?
The standard, “What do you do?” is a closed question that doesn’t reveal much about a person other than a job title. But if you phrase the career question a bit differently, you can delve into your date’s likes and dislikes; reveal his or her strengths; see how he or she handles conflict; and find out how happy this person is with life overall. Think about the different impressions you’ll form if your date answers the question, “Knowing that I’m helping people fulfill their dream” versus “Deciding what to order for lunch!”
3. What is your definition of a relationship
?Granted, it takes a bit of build up to ask this question (usually, once you begin discussing your dating histories, you can slip this one in), but it’s worth asking. Does your date want to be wined and dined, or are you both looking for a 50/50 relationship? It’s too soon to know what this specific potential relationship will look like, but a question like this lets you share your expectations and fundamental beliefs. “And if your date’s answer is outside the range of what you consider acceptable, you’ve saved yourself future heartbreak by finding out before you fall for him or her.YAY NO MORE BROKEN HEARTS IN THE WORLD.
4. If money were no object, what would you do with your life? This tried-and-true icebreaker showcases your date’s hopes, dreams, and even regrets topics that often remain untouched by even serious romantic partners. The answers can range from a desire to travel to going back to school to learning how to play the violin. Two buttoned-up stockbrokers might discover they both share a secret longing to be athletes or a shared devotion to public service. Your date’s response will help clue you in to common goals and interests that go beyond what you do on a day-to-day basis.
5. Will you share an embarrassing moment with me?
This fun question is great to ask when a date has gotten a little tense or quiet, because it reveals both details of your date’s history and his or her character. Just know that you may have to share an awkward experience first in order to make your date feel comfortable. So make it clear that you’re not looking for dirt on that plagiarism incident in 11th grade, but rather something goofy, like the time you drove a golf cart into the water and so forth.

FINALLY......

remember to be yourself and remember to relax and enjoy yourself life is too short to worry about small things. Hope this helped someone out there. I would also like for you to share your own experiences and questions you ask on your first date? Looking forward to reading them all That’s it for now
